Robert Kraft announced that the New England Patriots will be dropping the appeal of league punishment following #deflategate. The major concern for Bills fans will remain the appeal of Tom Brady, whose appeal is still outstanding.

With Kraft dropping the appeal, NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell may review Brady's appeal of a 4 game unpaid suspension more favorably than before, since the Patriots are dropping their request to have their punishment reduced. While this is purely speculative at this time, it is possible since Goodell will be handling Brady's appeal personally instead of assigning another member of the NFL to handle the case.

While it would be unlikely that the entire suspension be erased, the possibility that it will be reduced is still floating as an option. Now, since the media circus that would have surrounded both a team and player appeal has been removed, the NFL could look at Brady's current discipline in a softer light. Either way, with the Patriots playing at Ralph Wilson Stadium in week 2, Bills fans will eagerly be awaiting a league decision in the pending appeal.
