The Lions were a very modest 9-7 last season and due to their record and lack of playoff appearance, they decided to part ways with Jim Caldwell and hire former defensive coordinator Matt Patricia from the Patriots. Patricia will reunite with GM Bob Quinn, who, when Patricia was the DC in New England, was the Director of Pro Scouting. If there are players who know how to 'Do Their Job' Quinn and Patricia will find them. by Rich Bystron
2017 was not an ideal season for the Seahawks. While 9-7 for most teams would be considered a success, it was the 1st time since 2011 that the team failed to win 10 games and was the last time the team failed to make the playoffs. by Mario Granata
While many teams made a splash during the 2018 NFL off-season, the Chargers hardly made a ripple in the water with their moves. Obviously not many teams made the moves that the Los Angeles Rams did, and being in the same town didn't seem to put any added pressure on the Chargers to match their moves. Despite having (essentially) head coaches occupy the HC, OC, and DC, they didn't make many moves. Perhaps Tom Telesco was asleep at the wheel...or perhaps laying low in the weeds. After it was revealed that guard Richie Incognito will be retiring, a lot of fans think that the offensive line immediately becomes a Round 1 need. Here at Hashtag, we know that Defensive Tackle is still very much in play for the Buffalo Bills in the first round. We cover who you need to know, why this pick is vital to the success of the next middle linebacker and you wont want to miss it.
The Doom and Gloom of being a Buffalo Bills fan means you always think the Patriots are out to get you. The recent signing of Jordan Matthews and previous acquisitions of Chris Hogan, Mike Gillislee, and signing Eric Lee off Buffalo's practice squad two weeks prior to the two teams meeting certainly add fuel to that fire. With the Patriots having a new found love for actually keeping first round picks, many are jumping to the conclusion that they are trying to trade ahead of Buffalo in this year's draft...but are they?

What a couple years it has been in Baltimore. An aging (and overpaid) quarterback in Joe Flacco (who is overpaid…wait…did I say that already) is among the only thing left of the previously Super Bowl winners. Nearly zero salary cap space coupled with a roster that looks like the roster from the 2006 All-Madden Team, things could get worse in Baltimore; but not that much worse. Sitting at the 12th pick, a lot of things out of the Buffalo Bills control could occur, meaning that a quarterback might not be an option for them at that pick. We have heard a lot of chatter about Tremaine Edmunds and Roquan Smith being the likely pick but we want to examine that and you wont want to miss it.

2017 was not an ideal season for the Cards. While 8-8 was an improvement on the 7-8-1 from 2016, it was still another season missing the playoffs in a division that quickly turned around. Maybe the bigger storyline was the final season for Coach Bruce Arians as well as the retirement of Quarterback Carson Palmer. by Paul Wanecski
If you were to have an argument about the worst owners in sports, it won’t be long before you hear the name, Daniel Snyder. Washington is a runaway train this offseason. As the rollercoaster has gone since Snyder bought the team in 1999, no head coach has ever made it four seasons. Never. That’s not to say current head coach Jay Gruden he will make it through the 2018 season (his win totals since taking control have been 4,9,8,7) but typically we would have seen a change by now. The organization was a consistent storyline through the early start of 2018 and with the 13th overall selection; they may not be done surprising folks. |
