With the huge Draft Day splash that the Bears executed in the 2017 NFL Draft by getting their quarterback, Ryan Pace received a lot of heat for that decision, however, the Bears were able to get some of their draft capital back and fill their roster.  No one needed to look further than their WR core to know that they would be a player in the sweepstakes this year, seeing as they had 4 last season who were on one-year deals.

Clearly, things could have gone better for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2017. They feel they have a franchise quarterback, they had plenty of weapons through the air; things were looking good. However, the disintegration happened with Jamies Winston missing 3 games to injury, the running game never really being a factor and a defense that sat in the middle of the pack.

Just two years removed from a Super Bowl title, the Denver Broncos have seen their record go from 9-7 in 2016 to 5-11 in 2017.  They have played the quarterback carousel since the departure of Peyton Manning and have seemed to find the answer in the former Minnesota Viking Case Keenum. Will the experience and success of Keenum be enough for John Elway to contain himself from taking another quarterback in the 2018 Draft?

On The Clock: 2018 Houston Texans

The title of this article is a little misleading as the Houston Texans are without a draft pick until selection 68th, the fourth pick in the 3rd round. The quarterback position can carry a franchise or at the very worst cripple one. The cost of getting “the one” can be a steep and impact a franchise for the next few drafts. The cost of missing on “the one” can be even worse. Houston is all-in with Deshaun Watson at quarterback. After his first season, there are still just as many questions as answers.

Much has been made this offseason with the trades and the free agent signings that have happened already in the NFL.  The hot-button topic is "Where will OBJ end up?" if contract talks stall in New York.  With OBJ making his stance about 'not stepping foot on the field' without an extension, could this lead the Giants to have a complete overhaul of their team, given that they are in salary cap jail?  Two names to consider when thinking about the Giants taking a quarterback: Terry Bradshaw and Dan Fouts.

After a promising 'rookie' season for Bowles in New York that saw the Jets go 10-6, they have posted back-to-back 5-11 seasons and in the Big Apple that is sometimes enough to get a coach fired.  What is the next best thing?  Firing the Offensive Coordinator.   John Morton is out and former Quarterbacks Coach Jeremy Bates is in. Bates' most notable quarterback has been Jay Cutler, whom he worked with in Denver and Chicago, so the challenge he faces now is molding Teddy Bridgewater.

2017 saw the NY Giants implode. After a season-ending injury to OBJ, it seemed like their season was doomed from the start, and to no one’s surprise, it was. Before the season even ended the Giants at an unexpected 2-10 the Giants fired Coach Ben Macadoo and General Manager Jerry Reese and were looking for a new Head Coach and General Manager. The New York Giants finished the 2017 season a paltry 3-13 earning them the 2nd pick in the 2018 NFL Draft.

I have never read or wrote these words all in the same sentence before, so… what an exciting time to be a Cleveland Browns fan, huh? With an incredible amount of money available underneath the salary cap, two of the top four selections in the upcoming NFL draft with five selections within the top 65 picks, the Browns have a chance to turn things around quickly. They have been aggressive in acquiring talent via trade and are looking to change the way the rest of the NFL sees the organization.
