Growing up in the 1980s I was an avid baseball fan and played the game as well. Although the years would bring new players and different outcomes, the single constant was one man, Tony Gwynn. Gwynn, as many have stated, exemplified the greatness of the game, and the class that he exhibited was inspiring and breath taking. A closer look at the stats shows how truly great he was on the field as well.

I have long been a proponent for the "purity" of the game, no matter if it was baseball, football, basketball, hockey, etc. but with the recent changes that have been made to all of those sports, in terms of banning substances, it seems that it's getting harder and harder to find players that are using illegal substances in professional sports. But, what can be done to police these players, since the current system is somewhat flawed? ![]() by Mario "The Game" Granata Two titans of baseball. Two men among men.
