Let's start by saying that this article doesn't predict, support or defend EJ Manuel being the Buffalo Bills starting quarterback for the 2015 season. As polarizing a player as he is in Buffalo, that is up to each person how they feel on that issue. With the draft now concluded, it could be argued that general manager Doug Whaley is doing the best he can to make sure that EJ Manuel is given every chance to win the starting job.

Thanks Washington. Thanks a lot. All you had to do was draft the best player in the 2015 draft and you blew it. As I said on a previous podcast "Leonard Williams could steal a school bus full of children and still not skip past the Jets at 6". by Mario Granata
There has been a lot of speculation circling around the 716 as to the 50th selection for the Buffalo Bills. Now, there have been many dealings during free agency for the Bills, which was essentially their “Draft” but what will they do to continue the momentum? Will they address some needs on the offensive line? Will they add some athletes to the secondary? Check out what the pick at #50 means to the Bills, both long and short term. By Paul Wanecski
Anthony “Boobie” Dixon was signed at the start of the 2014 offseason to be a physical inside presence and contribute on special teams. 16 games later, we have a new head coach and Dixon has been reunited with the offensive coordinator he left in San Fransico. So what will happen with Boobie this year? By Paul Wanecski
Honoring the 5th year anniversary of the Buffalo Bills shocking the entire Western New York area selecting Clemson running back CJ Spiller 9th overall, we decided to try and start a debate. The Facebook groups for Buffalo Bills Fans Only and Bills Fanatics absolutely exploded with chatter when asked to describe CJ Spiller’s career with the Bills in one word. So, to explore both sides of the argument, let’s talk. By Paul Wanecski
Let me start this article off by saying that I hope this does not happen. Wide out and special teamer Chris Hogan has endeared himself to the residents of WNY with his consistent all-out effort and work ethic. With that said the NFL is a business and should be looked at as such. The draft is now just days away and as the depth chart has taken form, questions about the future of the depth at the wide receiver position are easy to ask. By Paul Wanecski
We all know Rex Ryan is a defensive guy. We all know the Buffalo Bills have the most feared front 4 in the league. What we don’t know is how long Ryan and company at One Bills Drive will be able to keep them all together. When looking back across the Jets draft history while Ryan was the head coach, his track record of drafting effective starters across the defensive line is compelling enough to think that he may start to reinvent this front four gradually. It has long been the struggle of Rex Ryan to find a quarterback, which mirrors the recent struggles of the Buffalo Bills for nearly two decades. As we see constantly throughout the NFL, unless the starting quarterback is of well above average, the new regime beings in someone new. The Bills have not been shy about adding players to compete with roster incumbents EJ Manuel and Jeff Tuel. With that, it is hard to imagine that they won't look to add another quarterback in the 3rd day of the draft or in the undrafted free agent pool. by Mario Granata
A position that has received a little press this offseason for the Buffalo Bills has been the wide receiver core. True, the Bills went out and signed Percy Harvin, who is electric on special teams and can be a matchup nightmare for teams, but how does this group of pass catchers fit in the ground-and-pound scheme? The NFL draft is on the horizon and teams are essentially finished with this portion of the free agency period. Most of your veterans who are healthy have found new teams. The rest of the list will find a home once the draft has completed. This article was originally posted on Hashtagsports.net March 11th, 2014 and as you will see, most of the top Safeties have been signed. This leaves only a few options still on the open market. |
