Let me start this article off by saying that I hope this does not happen. Wide out and special teamer Chris Hogan has endeared himself to the residents of WNY with his consistent all-out effort and work ethic. With that said the NFL is a business and should be looked at as such. The draft is now just days away and as the depth chart has taken form, questions about the future of the depth at the wide receiver position are easy to ask.

We all know Rex Ryan is a defensive guy. We all know the Buffalo Bills have the most feared front 4 in the league. What we don’t know is how long Ryan and company at One Bills Drive will be able to keep them all together. When looking back across the Jets draft history while Ryan was the head coach, his track record of drafting effective starters across the defensive line is compelling enough to think that he may start to reinvent this front four gradually. While Jay Glazer snapped up this scoop earlier tonight, if the rumors are true, Tim Tebow will have landed with the Philadelphia Eagles by the end of Monday. While many fans will be shocked that he was signed, others will wonder why he hasn't been on an active roster in two seasons. While we are not one to judge, we hope you find this interesting. It has long been the struggle of Rex Ryan to find a quarterback, which mirrors the recent struggles of the Buffalo Bills for nearly two decades. As we see constantly throughout the NFL, unless the starting quarterback is of well above average, the new regime beings in someone new. The Bills have not been shy about adding players to compete with roster incumbents EJ Manuel and Jeff Tuel. With that, it is hard to imagine that they won't look to add another quarterback in the 3rd day of the draft or in the undrafted free agent pool. by Mario Granata
A position that has received a little press this offseason for the Buffalo Bills has been the wide receiver core. True, the Bills went out and signed Percy Harvin, who is electric on special teams and can be a matchup nightmare for teams, but how does this group of pass catchers fit in the ground-and-pound scheme? Looking across the landscape of all available free agents - most of whom will have to sit and wait once the draft is completed to try and find a home – we still find rather notable names currently unemployed. While not all these players will fit every scheme across the NFL, we have built an All-Available team; a collection of players without a home. This is not in priority order, just simply listing who the top players at a given position. by Paul Wanecski
When it comes to the AFC East the past decade, it has been the Patriots and everyone else. Over those years the Jets, Bills and Dolphins have tried to take down the "Dark Hoodie Empire", but with only isolated success. The Internet, however, has given ever member of the #BillsMafia, #BillsFam and every #BillsFanatics something to laugh at. Here is a preview of ranking the AFC East through, well, an interesting method. by Mario Granata
There is a lot of talk about the safety position when it pertains to who is going to be covering the back end for the Buffalo Bills in the 2015 season. As highlighted on previous articles on Hashtag Sports, it will ultimately depend on the overall philosophy of the defense for which they decide to play. Here are a couple scenarios that the Bills could choose going into 2015. By Paul Wanecski
The NFL draft is on the horizon and teams are essentially finished with this portion of the free agency period. Most of your veterans who are healthy have found new teams. The rest of the list will find a home once the draft has completed. This article was originally posted on Hashtagsports.net March 11th, 2014 and as you will see, most of the top Safeties have been signed. This leaves only a few options still on the open market. It was not all that long ago that Cleveland Browns center Alex Mack was the subject of a lengthy debate during one of our broadcasts. He had been give the transition tag in 2013, which he was unable to escape when Cleveland when the matched the $42 million contract that was offered by the Jacksonville Jaguars. Mack, however, has an opt-out clause coming up at the end of this season. Given the rampant dysfunction in the Browns organization, it seems almost a sure thing that Mack will be out of Cleveland and on the open market at the end of this year. |
